You;ve ruined Loose Cannons for most of us... just look at the message boards. Firing VTB is the number one topic, with about 80% in favor of you LEAVING!!

Mr. Mays, Mr. Mays, and Ms. Johnson:

By now, you must know that you are losing a steady stream of listeners to AM****, particularly during the afternoon drive. You likely also know by now that this is due almost entirely to the presence, behavior, and actions of Vic "The Brick" Jacobs on the Loose Cannons Show.

Further, I am sure that it has been recommended to you by the listeners who have written to you recently that you might want to spend some time reading this topic thread on your message boards:

    "Not Feeling Vic Jacobs"
    allaccess.am570radio.com/...

This is the longest running and most visited thread on the message boards (and perhaps in the history of the message boards). And while you might be thinking along the lines of the old adage that "any press is good press", if you take the time to investigate this matter, you will see that does not hold true in this case. Quite the opposite, in fact.

We enjoy Mr. Steve Hartman and Mr. Michael Thompson, but Vic is viewed and heard as nothing more than a hack, with little sports knowledge, and an eccentricity that goes far beyond what might be amusing and into the very annoying - so much so that there have been hundreds of listeners who have voiced their strong desire to have Vic removed from the show. Until that time, the consensus among these listeners is that they are 1) either not listening to AM570 at all anymore, or 2) tuning into AM**** during the afternoon drive. You need only read the thread I cited above to see for yourself that this is true. I can cite particulars of what has led to this situation, should you desire further information.

You are losing listeners every day, and the source of the listener discontent is embodied (literally) in Vic Jacobs. Some listeners have started to contact your advertisers to let them know that they are no longer listening to AM570 due to the annoyance presented daily by Mr. Jacobs.

I, for one, have joined what amounts to a boycott and will no longer listen to the Loose Cannons Show until Vic is removed. It is a shame, because I have never taken the time to contact a management staff to voice my opinion in this way. But I do very much enjoy the Loose Cannons Show otherwise, and would return as a listener if Mr. Jacobs was removed as a presence on the show.

I hope this letter gives you some insight into what is going on daily at AM570 with regard to disappearing listeners (and possibly lost revenue) during the afternoon drive due to one individual's presence on the show.

As AM570 spends considerable money on advertising, and effort by the sales staff to attract listeners, I would hope that you take this information seriously. We would just like our show back - without Mr. Jacobs. I bear no personal animosity towards Mr. Jacobs. In fact, perhaps you might consider giving him is own show on the weekends or late evenings. But the working public, as you know, listens primarily during the morning drive, and the afternoon drive, and that is precisely when we want to avoid Mr. Jacobs and his inane comments and overall detractions.

    Respectfully,
    Tom Hunter
