Update on Tabitha: I am sorry to report that Tabitha's behavior had reached an intolerable level and has been kicked out of the Poor, Cute and Hungry children program; she will no longer receive any food that comes directly from your votes. She has been replaced with an even cuter and much hungrier child named Abby little adorable Abby. Please note that the cookie in the picture was for show only and was taken back immediately after the picture. So she is still incredibly hungry and needs you help.

Vote for Nanizm, bracket A, #11 now and get Abby a cookie of her own.

Vote for Nanizm: Billy and Tabitha update

Thursday, May 22, 2008, 08:37 AM PST [General]

We are happy to inform that with the generosity of the voting public Billy and Tabitha were able to receive enough nourishment to get through another week. With your votes Billy LITTLE BOY ANDREWwas able to receive a couple of spoonfuls of rice, a few unsalted crackers and some sugared water.

Tabitha Little Tabithaalso received rice, however, she doesn't like unsalted crackers and stated she wanted Ritz crackers instead...because of blatant selfishness and ungratefulness she did not receive crackers at all...and was given plain tap water...Happy to say with the little food Tabitha did receive it seems as if her stutter is beginning to subside. She still has trouble with words beginning with B, T and K; with a little more food, this should be corrected.

This is where you come in...voting for Nanizm, in the Fox 11 bracket, #9 will keep the food coming in to Billy, Tabitha and other cute, poor and hungry children.

If enough votes are received, it is possible that Billy will get some InfraRed Freeze Powerade he has been hoping for.

If enough votes received, and Tabitha is well behaved, she can receive some of those Ritz crackers she wanted, to go with that rice and plain tap water.

Only you can help these children; and it starts here by voting for Nanizm, in the Fox 11 bracket, #9.

A Vote for Nanizm=vote for life.

Thursday, May 15, 2008, 09:12 PM PST [General]

Vote for me and feed the children.

I entered the fame and fortune 2 contest mainly for fun. I am not going in with any expectations of winnings. However, if I am lucky enough to win that would be a great for me... and others as I have found out. I have found a direct correlation between my votes and food supply of small and really cute children in poor countries. Don't ask me how I came to this conclusion; I really don't want to bore you with the complicated details consisting of long algebraic and scientific mumbo jumbo. The fact is when you vote for me, small, cute and starving children receive food and get to live another day or two. Cute children like Billy right here as he is pondering when he will receive his next meal. LITTLE BOY ANDREWPlease help feed Billy with a vote for Nanizm, #18 in the Fox 11 bracket.

There is also Tabitha, Little Tabithawho has a slight studder, probably because she so hungry. With a vote for Nanizm, #18 in the Fox 11 bracket, you can help calm her hunger, and probably correct her speech impediment.

Like I said I don't care if I win or lose. I am thinking about Billy, Tabitha and all the other small, cute and hungry children in poor countries that are suffering. Please have a heart and vote for Nanizm, #18 in the Fox 11 bracket. If you don't that is fine, as long as you believe you can live with that decision. Try it, look up at Billy and Tabitha's face above and tell them, I don't care if you starve to death of pure hunger. Which might I add is a slow and horrible death.

Thank you for your time and hopefully your vote.

My Mission to sway all NBA MVP Voters

Thursday, April 10, 2008, 10:01 AM PST [General]

I will be looking to contact every NBA MVP voter in the nation from now till the end of the season. I want to first find out their position on who is their MVP choice this year and their criteria for MVP. Hopefully, most will post an article and states this. Others that don't have a column I will have to look out for TV interviews. If that is not available I will have to contact them directly via email. I will look to contact them if their choice is anybody other than Kobe Bryant, I will try to give my best argument as to why I believe they are mistaken, give my reasons as to why Kobe is MVP and why their choice is not. The points of my argument will change depending on their reasoning for their choice.

The 1st voter I found is David Dupree from Si.com. His vote so far is for Kevin Garnett as he stated in his article on April 1st. Here is the article link if you would like to read it:

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/david_dupree/04/01/mvp.voting/index.html

Here is my email question to him as that is all si.com allowed:

Doesn't your criteria sound as if you are specifically trying to exclude Kobe from consideration? "isn't a lifetime achievement award", "can't dismiss a candidate simply because you feel he is young enough", "it has nothing to do with who is the best player in the league". Sounds like it to me. Also, the MVP race being so close, how could you not discount the fact that Garnett did miss 9 games while Kobe and CP3 did not miss any? Also, that the Celtics went 7-2 in those games? Why are you giving Garnett all the credit for the turn around when the Celtics completely turned over their roster from last year? It appears you are trying to focus more on intangibles than tangibles; which are more subjective than the actual criteria of the MVP voting. I am trying to contact each MVP voter this year to make certain if Kobe does not get the award, it was for a valid reason that was based on tangible and factual arguments.

    Remembering 90's Hip Hop Era

Friday, February 22, 2008, 02:45 PM PST [General]

I don't listen to music much anymore, but when I do listen to hip hop specifically, I noticed it's changed to a whole different type of sound. I hear sounds from guys or groups like Chingy, D4L, Lil'Jon and Soulja Boy, just to name a few, and feel the quality declined dramatically. The beats are more intense which is more suitable for dancing, however the lyrics behind those beats are garbage. In my time, I was never a big fan of the mainstream hip hop, like Notorious Big, Tupac, Eminem but some of their music I got and even liked; I can't say the same of the hip hop today. Maybe I am just showing my age but feel the 90's was the best era in Hip Hop music; young Nas, the Genius, Method Man, Gang Starr, Group Home, RZA, Boot Camp Click, Can-I-Bus, Keith Murray, Redman, the rest of Wu-Tang, Erick Sermon, Mobb Deep, Originoo Gunn Clappaz, Channal Live, The Alkaholiks, Xzibit. Most of these guys never made it into the main stream and the ones that did where more due to their exuberant personality, i.e. Method Man and Redman doing Mountain due commercials and making movies. This group of artist created some of the most intelligent lyrical poetry ever created in hip hop history, yet really did not get noticed outside of the underground hip hop sub culture. I remember people calling this the real rap of the day versus that mainstream stuff people called hip hop. These artists didn't hide behind the beats with mediocre catch phrased filled lyrics. The beats of the underground hip hop artist were filled with infectious beats laced with sharp background sounds that blended perfectly with each other. Most importantly, their lyrics were smart and thought provoking, combining straight forward street lingo with historical metaphors put together seamlessly like the stitching in an authentic Gucci bag; I consider the hip hop of today more like a knock off.

Again, these might be the rants of a guy nearing his 30's and just not understanding the culture of the current times. I just feel the great hip hop artist of yesterday should be mentioned in conversation and the 90's should be recognized as the best era in hip hop music; in my opinion. Unfortunately I know they wont as they will go as unnoticed now as they were in their times.
