Lakers advance past the Nuggets without sweating at all. I don't anticipate the Lakers having a series this easy the rest of the way. I am really hoping that Houston can pull out the upset over their in Salt Lake. Houston has great hotels, resturaunts, and fitness clubs to enjoy if the Lakers play them next series. This is a good time for the team to relax and get healthy because every series from here on out will be tough. We got to protect home court tonight in game 2 at Staples. Denver is starting Kleiza tonight so it is important that the Lakers guards step their game tonight. Denver can't stop Kobe and Pau so if they are able to step up this will be a quick series. You are not going to want to miss this game as the Lakers are going to take control of Denver and the series tonight. The GREAT Spero Dedes and I on AM 570 KLAC bringing you the game as only we can.

The calm before the storm... The Lakers wrapped up the regular season last night in a very dominant fashion beating the Kings big. Now the Lakers will be getting the proper rest and relaxation before the grueling playoffs. The Lakers will be playing either Dallas or Denver in the first round. Both of these teams are soft and don't play any defense. All you Lakers fans are very anxious about playoffs beginning and so am I. This year they have a legitimate opportunity to make some noise in the playoffs. A different team than we have seen the last couple years. With the addition of Pau and the dominance of Kobe this is the year we are getting out of the first round and beyond. The only way the Lakers do not have a successful playoff is if they do not play defense. I think that with the championship experience of Phil, Kobe, and Fish the Lakers will be just fine. #24 has clinched the MVP of the regular season, now I am looking for the best player in the world to clinch MVP of the finals. If the Lakers win tomorrow night against the Kings they will clinch the top spot in the west. All the teams in the west are very good but they are missing one big detail, #24... If the game is close late you can be sure that #24 will take over the game and push the Lakers to victory. The Lakers are playing their best basketball right now entering into the playoffs. As long as the Lakers play defense they will make a serious run in the playoffs. Lakers lose once again to Portland last night. Will the Lakers ever beat Portland at the Rose Garden. The Lakers defense was terrible giving up lay up after lay up after lay up. When are the Lakers going to learn that the way to win is on the defensive end of the basketball court. They can obviously score with any team in this league, but in the playoffs you have to play defense. They had a chance to gain a game on the New Orleans Hornets and they were unable to beat a team that is not even going to make the playoffs. Lakers play the Hornets on Friday and this will be even tougher keeping Chris Paul out of the lane creating plays for his team. Defense, Defense Defense!!! Lakers, please play some defense!!!
