So basically I have been a Laker fan since before birth. And it pains me to see the constant disfunctionality that surrounds that organization. Unfortunately, I have no idea who to blame, so therefore I am forced to blame all those involved, the majority of the blame falling on Kobe and the entire Buss family (who I think should have a TV show, but that's a whole other subject). No matter what happens, however, I will continue to support the greatest franchise in all sports (yes i mean they are better overall than those stupid overpaid Yankees).
Now, just think about this for a moment, Phil Jackson $12 Million per season to sit on the bench and do nothing. Wow, blows my mind that they want to extend his contract at that price and not teach the team how to play defense. Jackson capitalized on having Jordan & Pippen with a good supporting cast for his previous 6 championships and Shaq & Kobe for 3 more. Without a 1-2 punch, consistent supporting cast and a strong defense, the lakers will always be a 5-8 seed in the Western conference. It's not Phil Jackson, it should be Fill jackson as in filling his pockets with money. I've been a Lakers fan since 1970, and I say they should have never resigned him, not for that price.
