    Is Richard Williams a Racist

Friday, March 21, 2008, 09:58 PM PST [General]

Richard Williams made some pretty inflamatory remaks to the news media recently when he was in India watching his daughters, Venus and Serena compete. Williams said that the WTA women's tour was racist and that his daughters aren't accepted and will never be accepted by tennis. He claims unfair treatment by the media saying its "the worst media job that they have done on any human in being in the world." so far this seems to be the rantings of a father watching guard over his daughters, but here comes the racism. Williams said " But you get some little white no good trasher in America like Tracy Austin or Chris Everett, who cant even hit the ball, they (the media) will claim this is great" Now we all know that if a white person said anything remotely close to a "black no good trasher in America" the likes Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton would mobilize the black community, claiming racism and demanding that this person...oh wait...Don Imus comes to mind, enough said. So why is it that someone of the black community can say something so defamatory, blatantly racist against someone who is white (or against any other race for that matter) and not be held accountable? I think that Richard Williams should definately be held accountable for his remarks and he definately owes Tracy Austin and Chris Everett a public apology. Maybe one of the reasons Venus and Serena arent not accepted so openly in the tennis community (if that is even true) is because of Richard. Is Richard Williams a racist, i dont know him well enough to say, but i do know he is prejudiced...how do i know this...he said so himself " Well, I'm black and I'm prejudiced, very prejudiced."

    Twins trade Santana

Tuesday, January 29, 2008, 10:21 PM PST [General]

Its a sad day for Twins fans as Minnesota sends Santana to the Mets for 4 prospects....we knew we were gonna lose Santana but for 4 Met prospects....we could have at least gotten one proven guy for arguably the best pitchers in the game right now. Carlos Gomez is the biggest name in the deal coming our way but please one guy we know would have been nice. If the Twins thought they couldnt get a better deal from the Red Sox or Yankees then they must have been offering up junk, which i doubt. The Twins just wanted to send Santana to the NL so he doesnt come back and smoke them at the Homer Dome. Santana is the best pitcher in baseball right now and what is sad for Twins fans is that we never got to see Santana and Francisco Liriano go 1 2 in our rotation. What a blockbuster staff that would have been. Then add Joe Nathan coming out of the pen. The Twins could have made a serious run at the pennant if that was the case. So now we have to hope that the young arms of Baker and Bonser continue to develop and get better and pray that Liriano can come back from his injury. The pitching staff is young, but they do have potential but there is no doubt that losing Santana will be a huge hole that cant be filled. Make no mistake no one will be able to replace Santana, all we can do is hope that the staff will come together as a whole and play well. Its a good thing that Morneau, Mauer and the likes are signed long term otherwise we would be in big trouble and still maybe. I wonder if Terry Ryan would have made this deal.

    Super Bowl XLII

Monday, January 28, 2008, 09:47 PM PST [General]

I would love to see the Giants take down the Pats in the Super Bowl thus ending the Pats drive for perfection... i am not the biggest Manning fan so that would be kinda tough to take....having Peyton and Eli winning the Big game back to back....but i am a Brandon Jacobs fan and so to see him get a ring that would be cool...The Pats, with a win, would have 4 rings and give Tom Brady, a 5th or 6th round draft pick, 4 rings tying him with former NFL Greats Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana...which brings up the question does Tom Brady belong in the same sentence as Bradshaw and Montana...well with a win i guess so...and would that then make Belichick one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL? This is a great game with alot of history on the line...will the Pats go 19-0 and be perfect..will Brady get 4 rings and tie Bradshaw and Montana, will the Pats get there 4th title in like 6 or 7 years, making them the Dynasty of the new millenium, just like the Steelers were in the 70's and 49ers in the 80's and get their place in history or will the Giants with there 2nd chance this year stroll into balmy Glendale Arizona and pull a big upset ending the Pats run at history and give Tom Coughlin, the Big Apple and all the New York Football Giants fan another Super Bowl Title...Will Eli Manning give the Manning family a back to back title making them the answer to a future trivia question and putting Eli on the map...well we will soon find out....
