Well it looks like the Lakers took care of the Nug Pups, Jazz and Spurs. Now we have come down to the big showdown with the Celtics. God it is good to see the Lakers in the Finals, but it is even better that it is verus the Celtics. It took me minutes to get that Celtic hate back. Even as someone who is of Irish heritage I want the Lakers to run over the Celtics like Cromwell busting up Ireland. This morning I was pondering committing a flagrant II foul on somebody's KIA Rondo on the 405, and wondering if the CHP would understand I did because I wanted to avenge Greg Kite's cheap bass closeline of Kurt Rambis.
So please Lakers, please put a shoe from Shoeteria in NOOOORRRRWWWWWAAAALLKKK in the Celtics and the Boston area fans Bass!
Well things changed for the better since my last caterwalling after the Portland loss. The Lakers responded to the challenge put before them and finished the season strong with wins over New Orleans and San Antonio and a couple of breaks took the #1 spot in the West. After a memorbale and trying season it only gets tougher from here on in. Sunday Kwame Brown saved the day. I don't know if I will be able to thank "funny man" Mitch Kupcheck enough for the Gasol trade. After a slow start the Lakers in the end had their way with the Nugs, but this season is far from over. The Lakers still a lot of questions to answer as these playoff roll on, I am hoping they will be able to answer all of those questions in the affirmative as we move along. Winning a round will go a long way for this team and it will put the season as a success. Sure I want them to win it all, but considering were this team was at the beginning of the season and what has happened it would be a shame if the fans don't remember that no matter what happens.
Go Lakers!
Next time I will butcher my next post with more "humor".
Last night the Lakers soiled themsleves on the floor. The Northwest was again unkind to the Lakers. No matter what state the Blazers are in, the Lakers always have trouble there.
A win last night could have moved them closer to the Hornets and ahead of the Spurs. Instead they give up ground to the Suns.
Gentlemen, this is not going to get it done come playoff time.
